Elin is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr. TCM), a Registered Physical Therapist (Reg. PT) and has an extensive health care background. She graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2002 and obtained her Physiotherapist Degree from the University of Manitoba in 1986. Elin currently works full-time for the Vancouver Island Health Authority and maintains a small practice in her off hours.

With over 25 years of experience as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Physiotherapist and Health Care Administrator, Elin brings a deep knowledge of wellness, illness and the healing benefits of both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine.

Island Acupuncture and Herbs has served the Victoria, BC community for over 10 years. In January, Island Acupuncture and Herbs moved to a new location and a is now a full service clinic located at 1780 Leighton Road at Richmond Avenue, steps from the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
